Evie,
A little less than 4 months ago we welcomed your sister into the world. It's been a huge transition for all of us and I would say you're doing incredibly well with it. You love your little sister more than I expected and have been so gentle with her.
As you are now a "pre-schooler" (minus the enrollment), you have pretty much hit all of the milestones that I was so excited to write about when you were younger. Now I get to write about your activities!
Last fall while I was still pregnant, we tried out Ballet. It didn't go very well and you didn't seem to enjoy it. I figured we could try a different class this winter and in February you dove into a paint class and then a gymnastics class, both of which you have loved. The paint class in particular, because it isn't very structured and the gymnastics class because you get to run what amounts to a kiddie-obstacle course. You are struggling some with the idea of taking turns, but making progress. Listening to someone other than me and your dad has been a bit of a culture shock too, I think. But it's important to me that you learn how to be social outside of our friend circle and how to relate with an instructor.
We re-enrolled for a second session each of the paint and gymnastics classes and I found a 2 day camp to give you a more realistic "school" experience as it is a full-day vs a 30-45 minute class. I'm excited to see how you like this, as for the second day of camp you will be accompanied by your granddad!
You are growing up to be such an intelligent, snarky and beautiful little girl and I'm so proud of you. I can't wait for all of our adventures together with Daddy and Mabel.
Love,
Mommy
P.S. Happy International Women's Day!
